BEFORE YOU BEGIN

After reviewing the training video and STEP-by-STEP instruction sheet, install the blank bur provided with your EZ Press. Tap the bur against the counter and try to pull it out using your fingers. If bur pulls out call ProScore for replacement spindle/collet.

STEP 1
STEP 1

Loosen head cap using appropriate cap wrench and remove turbine. If head cap and turbine come out together, separate and set head cap aside. Using an explorer, remove the old wave washer and O-rings from the head of the handpiece and the head cap.

Inspect the head and head cap for debris and clean thoroughly using a cotton swab and handpiece cleaner. If any debris is overlooked the turbine may not fit back into either the head cap or head and may bind.

Place Insert C under the spindle ram and Insert 1 under the bearing ram.

STEP 2
STEP 2

Feed the blank bur up into the Spindle Ram. While holding the turbine in place, slowly pull down on the handle until the impeller is resting on insert C. Verify alignment, then pull down firmly on the handle. The spindle and rear bearing will be pressed out through the hole in the center of insert C and fall into the tray below. The front bearing and impeller will remain on insert C.

STEP 3
STEP 3

Remove Insert C from under spindle ram and replace with Insert A Repeat the pressing procedure. Your turbine is now disassembled.

STEP 4
STEP 4

Inspect impeller and spindle for any visible damage. If any damage is scene contact ProScore for a replacement.

STEP 5
STEP 5

Open your rebuild kit and locate the smooth rear bearing. It will be the smaller of the two and is not flanged. Place the bearing over the bur so the side with the thicker inner ring faces the bur.

STEP 6
STEP 6

Feed the bur up into the Bearing Ram on the press and hold turbine in place. Slowly pull down on the handle until the rear of the spindle meets Insert 1. Verify alignment, and then gently press the bearing onto the spindle until it comes to a stop.

STEP 7
STEP 7

Locate your impeller and place it over the bur so that with the bur facing away from you the air will turn the impeller clockwise. The end of the impeller with the shorter shank will be toward the bur. Repeat the pressing procedure until the impeller comes to a stop.

Locate the flanged front bearing and feed it over the bur so that the wide flanged edge or the side with the black ring will be towards the impeller. Repeat the pressing procedure.

STEP 8
STEP 8

Locate the flanged front bearing and feed it over the bur so that the wide flanged edge or the side with the black ring will be towards the impeller. Feed bur up into bearing ram repeat the pressing procedure.

STEP 9
STEP 9

Place the blue quad ring directly on the step of the flanged front bearing. Next place the 2-point shim washer over the front bearing with the wings point up towards the bur. Finally place the front shim washer over the 2-point shim washer with the lip side facing the impeller.

Place the black o-ring into the groove in the head cap. Seat rebuilt turbine into head cap.

STEP 10
STEP 9

Hold the handpiece so the head points upwards and install the turbine and head cap. Check the bur for resistance as you tighten the head cap. If you notice any resistance, remove the turbine and re-install. If problem persists, contact ProScore Tech Support.
